Our Vision
Our cultural values and protocols are our guiding principles throughout our work and our lives. We will follow the paths that our Elders have paved for us and do our part in passing knowledge to the next generation.
We have a deep respect for all Aboriginal people and their ancestral connections throughout these vast lands. We extend respect to all people who call these lands home and those who come as visitors.
We value inclusive practices and are committed to ensuring we have opportunities to engage with all people. We are also committed to advocating for culturally safe places throughout the community.
We deeply value the truths of our ancestors and honour the stories told by our Elders. We are committed to sharing these truths with the wider community to foster understanding and respect for the events of the past.
We value our individual community connections and commit to empowering our community through our work.
We value our responsibilities and commitment to empowering our whole community and instilling our young people with knowledge of country and culture to develop their strong cultural identity.

Mirliny acknowledges and pays respect to the Wadjak people of the Noongar nation and to their Elders of the past and present, as the Traditional Custodians of the Country on which we live and work.
We also acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to their lands, waters and communities.
We pay our respects to them, their cultures and to their Elders both past and present.
